Internship Opportunity

FAST-India is excited to announce an internship opportunity within our Policy vertical. This is an excellent chance for aspiring researchers and policy enthusiasts to gain hands-on experience and contribute to meaningful projects that directly impact science and technology policy in India.


Duration and Dates

  • Duration: 2 months
  • Start Date: 1st July 2024
  • End Date: 31st August 2024


Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking sharp and dynamic individuals who are passionate about research and policy. Ideal candidates will have prior research experience and be well versed in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.


Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Candidates should be pursuing or have completed a degree in a relevant field such as Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, Sociology, or any other social sciences.
  • Research Skills: Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methods is essential. This includes experience with data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills are crucial. Interns will be expected to prepare reports, policy briefs, and other documentation.
  • Analytical Skills: Critically analysing data, identifying trends, and drawing meaningful conclusions.


Roles and Responsibilities

Interns will work closely with our Policy team to support various projects. Key responsibilities include:


Research and Analysis

  • Conducting Literature Reviews: Interns will review existing literature and policy documents related to ongoing projects.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Gathering and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data from various sources.
  • Policy Evaluation: Assessing the impact of current policies and suggesting evidence-based improvements.


Documentation and Reporting

  • Report Writing: Preparing detailed research reports, policy briefs, and other documentation.
  • Presentation Preparation: Creating presentations to summarize research findings and policy recommendations.


Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborating with Experts: Engaging with subject matter experts, policymakers, and other stakeholders to gather insights and feedback.
  • Organizing Events: Assisting in the organization of seminars, workshops, and other events aimed at promoting science and technology policy.
