RBI ASSISTANT NOTIFICATION 2024
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is anticipated to issue the RBI Assistant Notification 2024 in August or September 2024. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Candidates must meet the RBI Assistant eligibility criteria, as failure to do so may result in the cancellation of their application by the conducting body. Below are the eligibility criteria for reference.

• Ex-Servicemen To the extent of service rendered by them in Armed Forces plus an additional period of 3 years subject to a maximum of 50 years
• Widows/divorced women/ women judicially separated who are not re-married 38 years (Relaxation by 10 years)
• Candidates domiciled in the state of Jammu and Kashmir during the period from 1st January 1980 to 31st December 1989 33 years (Relaxation by 5 years)
• Candidates having work experience in Reserve Bank of India To the extent of a number of years of such experience, subject to a maximum of 3 years.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with at least 50% marks in any field. For SC/ST/PWD candidates, a passing grade is sufficient to qualify for the exam.
A candidate from the Ex-Servicemen category must either be a graduate from a government- recognized university, have completed matriculation, or hold an Armed Forces examination qualification, along with at least 15 years of defense service.
If a candidate is applying from a specific state or region, they should be able to read, write, and speak the regional language of that area.
SELECTION SCHEME
The RBI Assistant selection scheme comprises three stages:
• Prelims
• Mains
• Language Proficiency Test
SYLLABUS
PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION
The first stage of screening consists of multiple-choice questions in English, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability, and will last for one hour.
PATTERN
Objective-type questions.
Sections: English Language, Numerical Ability, Reasoning Ability.
Duration: 1 hour.
English Language: 30 questions, 30 marks
Numerical Ability: 35 questions, 35 marks
Reasoning Ability: 35 questions, 35 marks
Total: 100 questions, 100 marks
The preliminary exam lasts for 1 hour and includes 3 sections with a total of 100 questions, scored out of 100. There is a penalty of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer. Candidates must meet the minimum cut-off in all 3 sections to qualify for the main exam.
MAINS EXAMINATION
A thorough evaluation consisting of objective and descriptive questions in General Awareness, English Language, Numerical Ability, Reasoning Ability, and Computer Knowledge, lasting 2 hours and 30 minutes.

The main examination consists of five sections, each with a specific time limit. It includes a total of 200 questions, with a maximum score of 200 points. For each incorrect answer, there is a penalty of 0.25 marks. Candidates must meet the cut-off score in all five sections to qualify.
LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY TEST
After the Mains stage, candidates who are provisionally selected from the online main examination must take a language proficiency test (LPT). This test will be conducted in the official or local language of the relevant state.
