The National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bangalore, has witnessed a remarkable achievement this year as 35 students from the BA LLB batch of 2025 secured pre-placement offers (PPOs) ahead of the eagerly anticipated Day Zero, scheduled from August 5 to 7. This represents a staggering increase of over 100% compared to the previous year, where only 15 students from the batch of 2024 received PPOs before Day Zero.
The impressive array of PPOs reflects the high demand for NLSIU graduates in the legal industry. The median salary offered this year stands at ₹17 lakh per annum, underscoring the prestigious nature of these placements. Among the top recruiters, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas led the way by offering PPOs to 8 students, followed by Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas with 5 hires. Khaitan & Co and Saraf and Partners each extended offers to 4 students.
Notably, AZB & Partners recruited 3 students, while S&R Associates, Touchstone Partners, Veritas Legal, and IC Universal Legal each hired 2 students. Trilegal also made a significant mark with a PPO for 1 student. In addition, 2 students secured coveted training contracts with the international law firms Allen & Overy and Herbert Smith Freehills.

The student-led Recruitment Coordination Committee (RCC), under the guidance of Associate Professor of Law Rahul Singh, has played a pivotal role in facilitating these placements.
