A 19-year-old law student was found dead in her hostel room at Ram Manohar Lohia National Law University in Lucknow's Ashiyana area. Anika Rastogi, a third-year LLB student and daughter of IPS officer Santosh Rastogi, was discovered unconscious by friends who broke open her door after she failed to respond to calls. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, she was declared dead on arrival. The police have stated that there were no visible injuries or suspicious items in the room, which was locked from the inside. The cause of death remains unknown, and the body has been sent for a post-mortem examination. The Ashiyana Police are investigating, and no formal complaint has been filed by the family yet. The post-mortem report is awaited to clarify the circumstances of her death.
